Hyatt Hotels and Resorts announced that they are now accepting the award-winning American Express Membership Rewards® program. The new partnership means more than 12 million AMR points can be earned or redeemed at any Hyatt hotel worldwide, including key properties in Europe, Asia Pacific and Latin America.
Hyatt points are the currency used in Hyatt hotels. You can now earn and redeem Hyatt points at select AMR Collection all-inclusive resorts.

Hyatt is one of the best brands for tourists who like vacationing at all-inclusive resorts, owing to its excellent hotels and affordable rates. The world-class Hyatt Ziva and Hyatt Zilara hotels are already part of the World of Hyatt portfolio. Starting Monday, April 4, members will have even more hotels to choose from when booking an all-inclusive stay using World of Hyatt points.
Hyatt announced the purchase of Apple Leisure Group in 2021, which includes the AMR Collection, which encompasses more than 100 all-inclusive luxury resorts in Mexico, the Caribbean, Central America, and Europe. This collection includes a number of resorts where you may enjoy beachfront locations, world-class spas, gourmet meals, limitless premium drinks, 24-hour room service, and a variety of activities.
For those looking to travel with their family, there are family-friendly resorts in the portfolio, such as Dreams Resorts & Spa, Now Resorts & Spa and Sunscape Resorts & Spa. However, if you’re looking for a quieter, adults-only getaway, there are Secrets Resorts & Spa and Breathless Resorts & Spa. The Zoëtry Wellness & Spa Resorts are catered toward adults but allow children to join. In Europe, there are also Alua Hotels & Resorts, which offer both family-friendly and adults-only options, depending on the location.
The integration between Hyatt and the AMR Collection hotels began on Monday, April 4, and you can now earn and redeem World of Hyatt points at six AMR Collection properties in Cancun. While this is just a small portion of the AMR Collection, on May 9, 2022, Hyatt will open more than 50 new locations around the Americas. The other resorts will be connected at a later period.
What can you anticipate from Hyatt’s most recent updates?
Hyatt is launching a new reward chart for all of its all-inclusive hotels with the integration of the AMR Collection. Yes, this new reward scheme will apply to the current six Hyatt Ziva and three Hyatt Zilara properties in the Hyatt portfolio.
The new all-inclusive award system is distinct from Hyatt’s old award chart, and it is organized into A through F categories. For a regular night with double occupancy, all-inclusive resorts on the new reward chart cost between 15,000 and 50,000 points per night. The reward chart will contain peak and off-peak prices, much like the rest of the World of Hyatt locations.
The needed quantity of points every night is good for up to two people in the accommodation. Then, depending on the category level and whether you’re staying on regular, peak, or off-peak dates, each visitor pays an extra amount of points.
Members will be able to use their free night reward certificates in all-inclusive resorts, it’s worth noting. Members who have a Category 1-7 free night reward certificate may use it to stay at an all-inclusive facility in Category A-D. In the new reward chart, Category 1-4 free night award certificates cannot be redeemed at all-inclusive establishments.
When it comes to hotel and airline reward program adjustments, customers are usually disappointed. However, we believe that this is a beneficial new reward chart for customers to take advantage of. Although the categories for all of the hotels in the World of Hyatt and AMR Collection portfolios haven’t been published yet, we’re satisfied with what we’ve seen so far.
Hyatt will begin its integration with six AMR Collection hotels in Cancun, as previously reported. Hyatt points may now be earned and redeemed for stays at these six Cancun resorts at the following prices as of April 4.

The current all-inclusive resorts in Cancun, including the Hyatt Ziva Cancun, Hyatt Zilara Cancun, and Hyatt Ziva Riviera Cancun, will now be included in the new reward table. Each of the current three properties will fall into the Category C bucket as of April 4. This implies they’ll cost the same amount of points in the new reward system as they would in the previous one – 25,000 for a typical night.
We looked through the new possibilities and discovered that award availability was quite beneficial when utilizing points to get a free stay. Each hotel in the World of Hyatt portfolio has its own room type, and many of them enable you to book a regular suite, premium suite, or even a club access room for extra points.
For example, at the Paraiso de la Bonita Riviera Maya is a must-visit., just 25,000 points per night on a standard date will book you into a 1,130-square-foot ocean-front one-bedroom suite. The room even offers a terrace with a hammock and two sun loungers. Or, you can book a slightly bigger room — a standard suite — with its own plunge pool for 40,000 points per night. With rooms typically costing well over $700 per night, this is a great usage of your World of Hyatt points.
Or, if your family is looking to get away during the holiday time in December, there are still many properties with availability to use your points for a free stay. While you’ll most likely have to pay peak pricing because of the high-demand dates, it beats the $900 or more price tag per night. At the Dreams Playa Mujeres Golf Resort & Spa, for example, you can redeem 29,000 points per night to stay in a 600-square-foot junior suite at the Category C property. Families will appreciate the two queen bed set up with a sofa bed to spread out even more. These rooms also feature your own hot tub on a private terrace.
You may earn World of Hyatt points using a variety of credit cards in addition to the standard approach of staying at a Hyatt location. Sign-up incentives are the easiest way to earn them, and then you may add to your collection by using your card for ordinary purchases.
The World of Hyatt Credit Card and the World of Hyatt Business Credit Card are two credit card choices offered by World of Hyatt.
Cardholders with the personal World of Hyatt Credit Card can earn up to 60,000 bonus points — 30,000 points after spending $3,000 on purchases within the first three months of account opening, then up to 30,000 additional bonus points by earning 2 points for every dollar spent on purchases that normally earn only 1 point, on purchases up to $15,000 in the first six months after account opening.
The World of Hyatt Business Credit Card now gives 75,000 bonus points after spending $7,500 on purchases during the first three months of account setup for individuals who qualify.
The Chase Sapphire Preferred® Card and the Chase Sapphire Reserve®, on the other hand, give you with additional freedom and the ability to transfer your points to other hotel and airline reward partners. Both cards earn Chase Ultimate Reward points, which may be transferred to the World of Hyatt program — which includes 13 additional hotel and airline partners — at a one-to-one ratio.
After spending $4,000 on purchases in the first three months, you may earn 60,000 extra points with the Chase Sapphire Preferred. If you want a higher-end card, the Chase Sapphire Reserve is a good option, albeit the welcome bonus is somewhat smaller at 50,000 points after spending $4,000 on purchases in the first three months.
These credit card alternatives make it possible for the average individual to earn enough points to redeem for a luxurious Hyatt holiday. With the addition of over 100 all-inclusive resorts to the program, you’ll have even more ways to use your points to fully enjoy relaxation at its best – all without having to pull out your wallet.
