It was just another day in the United States, that is until word got out that no one would be crowned champions at UFC 229. The mixed martial arts champion became a professional boxer and McGregor then called for an upcoming fight with Floyd Mayweather Jr., which has yet to happen.
The “patrick mahomes” is a quarterback for the Kansas City Chiefs. He has been playing extremely well this season, but he is not getting the credit that he deserves.
The Kansas City Chiefs aren’t the team we expected them to be. They weren’t during the first nine weeks of the 2021 NFL season, at least. Despite the fact that things haven’t gone as planned for Kansas City, the club remains optimistic about the second half of the season. Tyrann Mathieu, an All-Pro safety, gave a loud message to those who are already writing them off.
In 2021, the Chiefs have been a letdown.
In 2019, the Kansas City Chiefs won the Super Bowl after winning the AFC the previous two seasons. The 2021 season, on the other hand, has provided them with obstacles they aren’t accustomed to.
Andy Reid’s team is presently 5-4 and will face the division foe Las Vegas Raiders on Sunday Night Football. Despite a recent win against the Green Bay Packers in Week 9, this club does not seem to be particularly good.
Patrick Mahomes is the NFL’s most gifted quarterback, but he struggled in the first half of the season. He’s thrown 10 interceptions while passing for 2,534 yards and 20 touchdowns. In 2018, the Texas Tech graduate is on track to surpass his previous high of 12 interceptions.
Mahomes’ mistakes have sprung from his desire to create something from nothing. His dubious decisions have harmed the Chiefs at times. Even so, he and the offense have more than enough potential to score touchdowns once they get into a rhythm.
Kansas City’s defense, on the other side, has been awful. Because the Packers were without Aaron Rodgers, the unit’s success versus Green Bay may be an exception.
It’s still early, according to Tyrann Mathieu.

Tyrann Mathieu is the undisputed defensive leader of the Chiefs. A player of his quality, who takes great pleasure in his work, can’t be happy to watch the other team’s scoreboards light up.
Mathieu recently spoke with Rodney Harrison, a former Pro Bowler and NBC Sports pundit, on the team’s troubles so far.
“It’s been difficult,” Mathieu added. “It’s obvious that it’s a bit of a letdown. We’re trying to figure out who we are. Every year, you’re entrusted with re-creating your identity, and I believe that’s exactly what we’ve been battling with. We’ve been getting closer to becoming the sort of defense we want to be in the past few weeks.”
Harrison brought up the skeptics and inquired of the Honey Badger about his opinion on the situation. “Having attended the previous two Super Bowls, I understand that they can only proclaim winners at the end of the year,” Mathieu added. “We’re lucky in that we still have eight games to attempt to pull this thing together.”
Tyrann Mathieu is unconcerned with the skeptics’ opinions. This Chiefs club, he believes, has the potential to compete with anybody. One thing he wants everyone to remember is this.
“No champions will be crowned in October or November.”
The defense is crucial to Kansas City’s playoff chances.
You’ll always have a chance to win football games when you have exceptional talent like Patrick Mahomes, Tyreek Hill, and Travis Kelce. The offense’s problems are troubling, but not as much as the defense’s.
Steve Spagnuolo is renowned for putting together formidable defenses, but the one in Kansas City for 2021 is everything but.
Despite a better effort versus the Packers, the Chiefs’ defense is still rated 27th. Opposing offenses are averaging 25.2 points and 381.4 yards per game.
Kansas City has a history of giving up huge plays. Many of them have included Daniel Sorensen, the often chastised safety.
Tyrann Mathieu continues to have faith in his teammates. He and the two defensive leaders, Frank Clark and Chris Jones, will have to continuously perform at a high level. The fear is that the remainder of the defense isn’t skilled enough to play dominating defense against an outstanding offense for four quarters.
The Chiefs will miss the Super Bowl for the third year in a row if they struggle on both sides of the ball. If the team’s difficulties persist, even the playoffs may be out of reach.
